It’s no secret we love working with inspiring women and so we’re beaming with pride over our first artist collaboration collection which has just arrived in Seafolly stores and online. We were fortunate enough to partner with one of our country’s most talented female artists, Gemma O’Brien, who is renowned for her murals and signature typography art. Gemma, who is making a big name for herself all over the world, designed three bespoke illustrations for us – one that will adorn our Christmas bags instore and two of which, Desert Blooms and Sydney Beaches – are inspired by what she loves most about the Australian summer: florals, botanicals and the beaches.
To celebrate this amazing partnership and collection we hosted a launch party at the hottest infinity pool in Sydney. The weather was on our side as the party of 80 media and social influencers arrived at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour for the evening, which was a celebration of all things Australian summer. They sipped on Chandon Rose cocktails and Chandon Brut, served in the limited edition bottles featuring Gemma O’Brien’s stunning illustrations.
Gemma O’Brien owned the stage just liked she owned these designs, talking through the inspiration for her artwork and sharing what it means to partner with our iconic swimwear brand. The highlight of the night was the fashion moment! Eight dancers and synchronised swimmers paraded past the guests, dressed in the Gemma O’Brien collection swimwear and apparel, before dancing a routine in and around the pool to Australian music. The ladies rocked their swimwear and the dance sequence with confidence, embracing all that Seafolly is about. It was unexpected and completely show-stopping. And everyone loved it!
